BRIDGE OF NATIONS

English is the universal language. It is the bridge between the different nations of the world. It has become the lingua franca in many parts of the world and is used extensively as a second language and as an official language in Commonwealth countries and many international organizations. It is th international language in communication, science, business, entertainment, radio and diplomacy. This language is truly important and each of us must learn to speak it properly. Through this, we, specially the Filipinos could be globally competitive in any field, whether it be in academics or business.

Being Filipinos, we must also learn our own language - Tagalog. We must love Tagalog as well as English. Remember that English is only our second language while Filipino or Tagalog is our first. We must patronize our language as we patronize our products.
However, speaking English or Filipino doesn't only mean learning the rules of Grammr. We mut know how to apply our knowledges about these languages properly. Speaking in a kind and good manner is what I mean. It is a partof the application of English and Filipino language.

Through our ways of speaking, one can determine if the speaker is respectable or not. It is one way of gaining respect from others. Sure each of us wants to be respected and earn a good reputation to others. One way of attaining this is SPEAKING PROPERLY AND KINDLY. These two must always go together for an effective and efficient way of gaining self-respect.
